A Magical 5-Day Family Escape at Merlin Farm, Cornwall

One of the best things about Merlin Farm is its location — secluded and peaceful, yet perfectly placed for adventure. We were just a short walk to Mawgan Porth Beach, where the kids could run wild, build endless sandcastles, and paddle in the sea. Watergate Bay and Newquay were also just a few minutes’ drive away, giving us plenty to explore along the stunning Cornish coast.

Each day had its own rhythm: slow mornings with coffee outside, daytime beach adventures, afternoon countryside walks, and cozy evenings back at the cottage. No screens. No stress. Just family time, fresh air, and that lovely holiday feeling.

The kids absolutely loved it — and honestly, so did we. It was one of those rare trips that ticks every box: rest, fun, nature, and real quality time together.
